Yumm Monsters – The cheapest game from Appsolute?

Every now and then there is a game we can’t help but think “really?” after installing it onto our testing devices. If you’re after a game that is simple, fun, and easy to play, this probably isn’t the review for you. Why not try one of our other reviews…

Yumm Monsters is a game we can’t help but wonder who it was targeted at. Set in a colorful 2D world, your mission in this game is to throw colored candy into the mouths of matching colored monsters that spawn randomly each time you successfully feed another one of your pets.

Besides looking strikingly similar to the little green monster featured in Cut the Rope, there really isn’t that much more for us to cover. What you see is what you get, and Yumm Monsters doesn’t have much to show.

The entire gameplay system can – and was – summed up in just one sentence, and although very cute, most players above the age of 4 don’t play a game just to look at the cute characters…😓

Would we normally review this game? “No.” However, coming from a well-known publisher like Appsolute Games and a talented developer like Square Dino, we couldn’t help but feel that Yumm Monsters felt like a bit of a cheap game…

Come on Square Dino! We know what you’re capable of!

If you have a few moments to give Yumm Monsters a try, we would love to hear your thoughts on Twitter. Is this a cheap game? Feel free to let us know what you think!
