Twisty Road! (by Voodoo and Pup Interactive) is a game that resurrects one of the coolest iOS and Android games of 2013 IMPOSSIBLE ROAD (by WONDERFUL LASERS). Depending on just how long you’ve been a fan of mobile gaming, you may or may not remember this truly amazing mobile game…
For anyone who played the original IMPOSSIBLE ROAD back in 2013, Twisty Road! is basically just the same game, only redesigned for the players of 2018. Set on an impossible winding road suspended somewhere out in cyberspace, your mission in this game is to ever so carefully pilot a speedily moving ball as it shoots its way down a narrow winding road of doom…💀
Played by touching on either the left or right sides of the display in order to veer left or right, Twisty Road! isn’t actually all that difficult to learn or play, however, it is almost impossible to master.
Although we don’t exactly agree with the spam-like marketing tactics used by Voodoo to promoteTwisty Road! (e.g. “Only 1% of players get this far!”) to a degree, these slogans actually hold some truth. Played “normally”, there is probably a 99% chance you’ll never get past the 20th gate, played “riskily” anything can happen…
Unlike most runner games where falling off the stage is an instant GAME OVER, both Twisty Road! and IMPOSSIBLE ROAD gives the player around 3-5 seconds to land back on the main track before finally killing you and GAME OVER. This means that with enough skill, you are able to jump from one part of the stage to another essentially skipping all the gates in between. Jump from gate 1 to gate 10 in a single leap.
If you’re not afraid of heights and don’t mind a gamble here and there, you’re going to enjoy the gameplay in Twisty Road!
With a heap of different balls, gates, and track designs for you to unlock, Twisty Road! is cram packed with features (and Ads) for you to enjoy…? If you really want to enjoy this game, you are sort of forced to pay the US$2.99 to remove the ads.
The Conclusion
Twisty Road! is a great game with just a few too many Ads, designed to encourage players to take risks they probably shouldn’t have even considered…
If you’re in need of a little more excitement in your everyday life, Twisty Road! is a game that will do just the trick!
