Stack by Ketchapp – Review

As a small child, did you ever wonder how high you you could build with your building blocks? By perfectly aligning the blocks to prevent any unexpected tilting, you probably managed to build a tower high enough to make a satisfying crash when the urge to “destroy” got too strong…

Now, you’re much older than you were back then. It’s time to take the next great leap in tower building…

Stack by Ketchapp gives you what is no doubt the best environment for creating a mega tower. With no wind, no younger siblings, and an ever steady tower, the only thing between you and an infinitely tall tower is your timing.

When you start the game you’ll begin with a small tower and one flat square that slowly slides back and forth a little above your tower. Your goal “ideally” is to tap the screen the moment the block and your tower align in order to build your tower a little higher. In “reality” this doesn’t happen…

Any excess block that hangs over the edge of your tower is instantly cut off, stabilizing the tower, but also making the space for your next block to sit just a little smaller…😱

You can probably tell where this is heading. When you have no space left to stack the next block, “Game Over” your tower is complete.

Building blocks seem to have a special spot in all our hearts. Perhaps it’s because they are what taught us to “Build,” perhaps it’s because they are what taught us to “Destroy!”

Either way, most people like Building blocks.

For those who would like to go one step further, for those who would like to take their tower building to the next level, Stack is the best building game we have ever seen!
