Do you love the simplicity of classic 2D horizontal shooter games? Today we’ve got a classic horizontal shooter game called Shoot the Dragons with graphics that are well… far from classic…!
Shoot the Dragons is an amazingly well animated horizontal shooter game that simply works! To be completely honest this game is NOT innovative. “There isn’t a single feature in this game we haven’t previously seen in another game.”
The only thing is, Shoot the Dragons implements all these small features into a single game better than all of the competition!
Set in a wonderfully cute 2D winter paradise – infested with deadly dragons – your mission in this game is to blast as many dragons as possible using your Christmas-Tree-Gun in order to save Christmas! (…or at least that’s what we think the story is about.)
Played using touch and drag controls, you will be required to drag your player around the screen in order to aim and avoid being hit. One quick Pro-Tip, “You don’t need to be touching directly on your player in order to move him around the screen. Try touching and dragging somewhere where your finger doesn’t get in the way of your line of sight.”
Your gun will fire automatically when you start the game, meaning, the only 2 things you’ll need to focus on are not getting hit and collecting upgrades!
By collecting upgrades you can swap with one of your Buddies, which is extremely important. Your buddies can take damage without affecting your player’s health, (the one you need to care about the most), and as far as we know, the Buddies seem to be just a little stronger…
Lastly, without making this review way too long, the graphics in this game are awesome! Unfortunately, you will really have to “see it” in order to fully understand how cool they are.
