Do you love the epic ROCKY films!? “What!? You haven’t seen them!” …Actually, neither have we, but having not seen ROCKY didn’t stop us from enjoying today’s game!
ROCKY™ is an awesome new game about rebuilding a run down gym by training up epic new fighters that pack a serious punch! The overall gameplay system is extremely simple and is probably best described in two parts.
The first part is purely managerial. You will be required to recruit new fighters by opening fighter packs, train fighters, check out tournaments, etc. Not the most “interesting” aspect of the game…
The second part is much more exciting! You will be required to fight in competitions to increase your gym and fighter’s reputation, and gain cash. Fighting in competitions is surprisingly easy to do, and is based on a line that moves back and forth across a gauge on your screen. If you tap on the screen while your line is above a colored block your fighter will punch, and if you miss your fighter will get punched. Very simple…
As the game progresses more and more variables are added to your simple gauge, but overall the concept stays pretty much the same. Nice and simple.
Now, when it comes to the graphics we can tell that there weren’t many cut corners. All of the players are surprisingly lifelike, and each has their own unique facial features implemented into the game. Unfortunately, we don’t know all the characters in the ROCKY films, but if you have a favorite, you can count on him being in this game!
