Rise Up – How high can you go…?

Do you remember our review of a game called Force Escape by Studio Rouleau? Well, today we’ve got a game based essentially on the same core game mechanic, only with slightly simpler visuals, and that’s about it. So why is one so much more popular than the other…? We have no idea!

Rise Up (by Serkan Ozyilmaz) is one of the most popular games on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and we have no idea why! Although the game is fun, it is also “quite literally” impossibly challenging! One wrong move and you are almost guaranteed to GAME OVER! So why do so many people love playing this game!?

…probably because it is so simple…🎈

Set on a stretch of 2D sky, your mission in this game is to bash falling obstacles out of the way of a slowly ascending balloon in order to prevent it from getting popped. Played by touching and dragging anywhere on the screen of your device in order to move a small circle we called “The Force” in our review of Force Escape your job is to bash obstacles out of the way using this overpowered dot of gray in the middle of your screen.

In total, there seem to be 45 unique levels for you to attempt to survive, though we haven’t actually made it to the end just yet. In the top left-hand corner, there is a handy indicator which lets you know just how many times you have attempted to complete this game… Thanks, we really wanted to know exactly how many times we’ve failed… 😅

With a simplistic 2D design we would almost consider minimalistic, not too many Ads (we honestly expected more), and a bunch of different balloon skins for you to unlock, we can actually see why players would choose to download Rise Up.

That being said, we still don’t like losing all the time! I guess we will just have to play one more game…
…is this the start of an addiction…🤔

The Conclusion

If you are strong with the force, then we would highly recommend that you (1) download this game, and (2) train us as your loyal padawans! You won’t regret creating a team of force sensitive game reviewers who use their powers for nothing nobler than reviewing games… and sometimes force choking their opponents in Smash Bros… 😂
