Pocket Snap – Read this before developing your next viral game!

Some say that it is the visuals that count… others say the audio is everything… while still others, (such as ourselves), believe it is a mixture of small visual effects, tactile feedback, and a perfectly timed sound effect that makes all the difference.

Pocket Snap, in all honesty, isn’t that much of an amazing game. The game is played using a digital spring loaded device, a few different sized cups, and a total of 3 balls you are challenged to successfully launch into one of the cups positioned somewhere on the screen of your device. Succeed and your ball is given back to you, fail and you’re in trouble…😅

For a lot of us, Pocket Snap probably resembles some sort of game you used to play with your grandparents before throwing a ping-pong ball into a cup became a branded game.

Although we could never honestly state that Pocket Snap is a brand new game, we can, however, say it is likely the best digital representation of a game we are already likely very familiar with.

Featuring a simple set of (Touch to Charge / Release to Fire) controls, vibrant graphics, and some of the best tactile, audial, and visual effects we’ve ever seen featured in a game this simple, Pocket Snap is a game that defines how simple mobile games should be made.

If you are a developer dreaming about making your fortune off simple 2D games, this is the type of game consumers want to see!

The Conclusion

Whether you’re a developer looking for some inspiration for your next viral game or are just another gamer lured in by our eye catching title😈, Pocket Snap is a game we expect few people not to relate to in some way or another.
