Paper Stickman – An awesome start for a new studio

Today we’ve found something strange, a little different, and very crazy… This is our review of Paper Stickman.

Paper Stickman is a game that looks like it was copied and pasted directly from a school kid’s doodle into a mobile app! Although it doesn’t look all that pretty (Are doodles supposed to be perfect?) from a game developer’s perspective this game is actually pretty amazing.

You see, although nowhere near as beautiful or polished as a Ketchapp game, the innovation hidden behind the scenes to make this simple Super Mario-like platformer easier to play is simply awesome!

Instead of controlling your character with tiny buttons that take up half of your already tiny screen, “besides jumping” the entire game is controlled using the gyroscope built into your device! Leaving the game, except for one large jump button, free of clutter!

Although not the prettiest game out there, the time and effort put into making Paper Stickman more enjoyable for the player is obvious. We really can’t wait to see what this new indie studio comes up with next 😉
