Let’s Go Rocket is a simple game that is best described as a rocket trying to safely get through a small planet’s asteroid belt in one piece. Sometimes NASA’s rockets collide with small pieces of space debris when leaving our atmosphere and can get rather battered, but the ‘space debris’ you’ll find in this game is of a whole new level…
Huge curved chunks of rock, which look like an old crust, potentially the planet’s original surface before some cosmic disaster, circle around the planet you are trying to depart from making it extremely difficult to actually get anywhere.
As you may have guessed, your mission in this crazy game is to guide your small rocket as far out of this endlessly large asteroid belt as possible, without actually smashing into anything. Your controls to do this are, ‘Rockets ON ‘ and ‘Rockets OFF ‘ that’s it…
Thankfully for players who have experience playing Wonky Ship, the rockets you get in this game seem to be a little better than the ones you previously had and so there is no need to worry about your ship flipping over…
Though only a game, and a very simple one at that, Let’s Go Rocket is a game that could actually be a pretty good interpretation of what space travel in harsher corners of the galaxy may actually be like.
Who knows, this may be what some little green men have to go through every morning just to get to work…
