Our Mini-Interview with Smilerush, the creators of Jump Room

Do you like hard games? …As in, “Really Hard” games…? Jump Room is one of the hardest games we’ve played in forever! (Ok, that’s probably a bit of an exaggeration.) But it definitely is one of the most beautiful impossible games we’ve ever played😉

Read our full review of Jump Room here.

Today we would like to share with you our interview with the Smilerush Team the creators of Jump Room.

Before we start, we’d like to thank the Smilerush Team for participating in our interview, and for spending some of their valuable time answering our questions. Thanks guys!

Now without any further ado, our interview begins.

Ok to start with, how long have you made Apps or Games for?

I have been making games for over 10 years starting with flash games for the web. In 2010 I started to make games for mobile. Although I haven’t been able to do this for a living I am still doing it because I like it😊

So this definitely isn’t your first creation?

None of my previous games are well known but I have made many games in the past. The most recent game I made was “Hit The Pillar” for iOS and Android.

What do you use to make your apps or games?

I mostly use Unity but depending on the project I might use cocos2dx (c++) or any other framework that I would like to learn😊

So, tell us about your app!

We focus on creating high-quality casual arcade games for iOS and Android. Jump Room is our newest release and I think many people would like to play it if they knew it existed😃We made Jump Room to be a really easy game to pick up and play but very hard to master. And with very hard we mean it. It is meant to be a game for casual players with short game play sessions.

In Jump Room, your task is to collect orbs / dots to score points. To do so you simply tap the screen to jump and wait for the character to fall down. All while avoiding getting crushed by spikes.
