Interview with Thomas Wedin the creator of 99 Rockets

99 Rockets is an amazingly difficult game currently featured on the Apple App Store.

Today we’d like to share our interview with the developers of this surprisingly difficult to make game.

In our interview with Thomas, we were told about how the team didn’t expect 99 Rockets to be anywhere near as difficult to develop as it turned out to be.

Before we start, I’d like to thank the Itatake.com Team for participating in this interview, and for also spending some of their valuable time in answering our questions. Thank you very much.

Now, without any further ado, here is our interview with Thomas Wedin…

Ok first up, why did you decide to make 99 Rockets?

We’re always trying to come up with new fresh ideas often focused on finding a unique and simple Game play. 99 Rockets was one of the huge list of game ideas we have.

Ahh yes, a lot of us have idea books, so what programming language and or software did you use when making 99 Rockets?

Our programmer used Unity to build the game. There are a lot of good things with Unity, but we had some problems that delayed our launch. The biggest problem came when iOS 9 was released and Unity had some issues around that.

Ok, here is a mean question. What was the hardest problem you needed to overcome when developing 99 Rockets?

As a project, the hardest thing was to prioritize this project versus other ongoing projects, and we thought this was a really simple game but we underestimated the whole thing. Two of the major technical issues we met were to get the graphics to be crisp and to overcome lagging in some levels.

Last question. Where do you get your inspiration or ideas from?

We like game mechanics, and often there is a mechanic that is the starting point for an idea.

A few words to 99 Rockets fans on Edamame Reviews.

99 Rockets is our third game. We have another game in production that will be released quite soon, and we start up the development of game number five before Christmas. Besides that we will release 99 Rockets on more platforms in the near future.

Lastly a few words on how you feel about Edamame Reviews and our service.

We like the idea of your service, that combines the game itself with the developers. There are a lot of review sites out there, but Edamame is one that has the possibility to become a shining star. Keep up your good work.
