Hexavoid by Fabmika Games – Review

“You have been chosen…” Yeah? At least that’s what it says in the description of Hexavoid, the first avoider game in a long time that actually gets you to do more than simply run.

Hexavoid is based on a daring mission – not to escape – but to dive right into the very heart of the enemy’s defences, destroying their evil forces once and for all!

To achieve this impossible mission – “seriously, it’s an endless runner, you’ll never make it to the end…” – you’ll need to avoid “hexagonal reinforcements” that are indestructible with your small ship, and instead ram through the much smaller gates that don’t do a very good job at preventing intruders from entering.

The controls you’ll use to pilot your ship are simple, “Tap anywhere on the screen. Drag left and right to move.” And should take you less than 5 minutes to master.

The “items” you’ll find in this game are probably the most important part of getting a high score. Depending on what you pick up your score can sometimes vary by 20 or 30 points, a pretty big boost when battling it out with your uncle.

Simply put, this is probably the simplest game you’ll play in quite a while. For people who would like something simple to play while waiting for their bus to arrive, this game will not disappoint.

If you prefer console like action, this game may be a little too simple, but for the majority, Hexavoid is a quick and easy to play game you’ll be glad to have on your phone.
