C_mpl_t_ – Do you see what letters are missing in this title…?

“Can you g_ess what’s missing? C_mpl_t_.” by Philipp Stollenmayer. Today we’ve got a game that is basically this sentence turned into a game! …and surprise, surprise it is developed by Philipp Stollenmayer…😆

Cmplt is an incredibly simple game which requires you to simplify what you see with your eyes in order to “complete” each new puzzle. Played on a gridded board made up of texturized squares, your mission in this game is to try and see just what is missing in each new puzzle.

Each puzzle is basically a simplified / pixelated image of a well-known object you are required to guess by filling in the missing pieces. Most of the questions are simple and will literally take you less than 10 seconds to answer while others are much, much harder and will require you to put some serious thought into what you are actually staring at.

Played using simple “Touch” or “Touch & Drag” based controls, Cmplt is simple and easy to play, so you really shouldn’t have a hard time figuring out how to play this game.

Now, for those of you wondering whether a game this simple could actually be considered fun, the answer is “sometimes”. You see, every so often you will be faced with an image you don’t instantly recognize and you will be faced to search through your brain for a similar image without fixating on anything.

If you’re the type of person that constantly finds yourself judging people based on preconceived ideas with no backing at all, then this game is going to be your worst enemy(!) because lateral thinking is the key to success in this game…

The Conclusion

Personally, we would rather not play this game for longer than 10 minutes. The concept is just a little too simple to keep players such as ourselves addicted. However, if you’re in a large group or would just like to see how many images you can recognize, Cmplt is a fun little game we highly recommend you try.

We just wouldn’t recommend you set out on a 14-Hour flight with Cmplt as your only source of entertainment.
