Clash Royale by Supercell – Review

Umm, so does anyone reading this NOT know Clash of Clans…? If you don’t, here’s the link to its official website. For those who do – probably 99.9% of all readers – here comes our review of Clash Royale…

Clash Royale looks like a super updated version of Clash of Clans. The graphics have been updated tremendously, and the all new game system built for modern day smartphones works perfectly!

Unlike previous Supercell titles such as Boom Beach or Clash of Clans, which are both heavily based around building an invincible fortress, Clash Royale is more about attacking, and is built around a sort of card game like game system. Each player has a deck of 8 cards, 4 of which are constantly in your hand. Both you and your opponent have the same number of defensive buildings, with identical health levels, so the only real thing setting you apart from your opponents are the cards in your deck.

To make use of these cards – place them in the battle field – you must use “Energy”. In the top left corner of every card is a number representing how much energy the card requires in order to be used. Your “Energy Gauge” increases by one every 1 to 2 seconds and increases at the same speed for both you and your opponent.

As you can probably tell, this game is completely reliant on your strategy, and the level of your troops, which in most cases isn’t too great, and will grow with the strategy you use.

As most readers can probably tell, there is much more to this game than we can possibly cover in our quick review, so the quick summary is, “Clash Royale is a brand new game most of we Supercell fans will no doubt feel somewhat familiar with from the start.”

Whether you’ve played all of Supercell’s titles, or have just learned of them today, Clash Royale is a game that won’t disappoint you.
