Do you love simple mini games that are just fun? If so, chances are Cannon Hero Must Die is a game you’ll really enjoy. …but if you’d like to enjoy this simple mini game 350% more, today we’ve got an interview you simply must read!

Check out our review of Cannon Hero Must Die here.

Today we’d like to share with you our interview with the Orangenose Studio Team the developers of Cannon Hero Must Die.

Before we start, we’d like to thank the Orangenose Studio Team for participating in our interview, and for spending some of their valuable time answering our questions. Thanks guys!

Now without any further ado, our interview begins.

Ok first up, why did you decide to make Cannon Hero Must Die?

Our game designer has always wanted to make shooting games (‘Cause he is a huge fan of shooting games 😃 )! At first, we tried using “moons” as the target, but then we found that using “enemies” was much more fun and exciting.

We love the cute graphics used in almost all Orangenose Studio Games.
Besides having a great art team, is there a secret to creating cute graphics like those in Cannon Hero Must Die?

Thanks for the compliment 😃  (Our main artist of the game Ako is so glad to hear this haha) Actually our whole team is quite interested in graphics and art design and would brainstorm with artists to help them create cute characters or scenes.

In the past, we have tested many games that are “similar” to Cannon Hero Must Die gameplay-wise, but were much, much harder and weren’t all that user-friendly.

How did you manage difficulty levels when creating Cannon Hero Must Die?

The first version of this game is, in fact, quite difficult. Based on our data few players were able to get more than 10 points…after we found this fact, we tried to do some smart tuning of the game. As a result, this version now is able to judge the players playing extent/ability from the beginning of the game and adjust the game difficulty automatically. We would like to make sure that all our players have some FUN 😃

Now for some geeky questions. What programming language and or software did you use when making Cannon Hero Must Die?

C# & Unity Engine

Ok, here is a difficult question. What was the hardest problem you needed to overcome when developing Cannon Hero Must Die?

Level design was the hardest problem we faced. We tested numerous rounds on it before we made it to the final version. Our designers can still recall the memory when they kept discussing it on the bus on their way home. But it was a memorable experience because we were all enthusiastic about making this game well.

Last question. Where do you get your inspiration or ideas from?

The name of the game is actually from Stick Hero. Our team wanted to make a simple and addictive game just like it.
