Just as a side note, this isn’t a recap of everything at BitSummit… It’s a recap (4/5) of only the coolest things you definitely won’t want to miss! 😉

Dungreed by TEAM HORAY on BitSummit

After suddenly having your townspeople quite literally swallowed up by a dungeon that appears out of nowhere, your mission in this game is to rebuild your town by venturing into the dungeon yourself. (In reality, you were caught by surprises and eaten… 😓)

With amazingly animated Pixel Art, a very reasonable price of US$9.99, and playable on both PC and Mac. This is a game we really want to review(!) even though it isn’t available on iOS or Android…

Republic of URBANoIZ on BitSummit

Republic of URBANoIZ “seems to be” an artistic game about a TV headed character living in a totally monitored city where Big-Brother both knows and controls everything! Your mission in this game seems to be to discover your own true identity – as your player suffers from amnesia – using the different clues you collect while playing the game.

Although we have absolutely no clue how the game will play out, what we do know is that it is being designed by what used to be a Design Studio – not an Indie-Studio – which is somewhat interesting in itself.

We look forward to hearing more about this game in future…

UNREAL LIFE by hako 生活

UNREAL LIFE is a side-scrolling adventure game about a young girl named “Haru”, who has lost her memories. Featuring a similar story-line to the popular game Ghost Trick (by Capcom), you are guided through the game by a talking traffic light(?) and can see the past of different objects you touch.

i.e. If you touch a dropped umbrella, you can find out how (or why) it was left where it is.

Using this power, you can slowly uncover the secrets of your lost memories. UNREAL LIFE will be available on iOS, Android, and PC.

Above by Mighty Moth Games

Above is an aerial action-adventure game for PC, Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.

Set on an island surrounded by water, one day your brother disappears somewhere far away – somewhere you can’t reach by sea. Although there are legends on your island forbidding your people from creating an airplane, our hero in this game chooses to build a plain from scratch in order to find and rescue her lost brother.

As you progress through the game, you will be able to upgrade your plain in order to access new arias of the world and change the characteristics of your plain.

Artifact Adventure Gaiden by bluffmanGames

Artifact Adventure Gaiden is a pixelated 2D open-world adventure game where the player is 100% free to choose how to play the game. According to the developer, there are about 10 different endings to the same game(!) meaning there are a lot of different ways in which you can experience the same game.

Artifact Adventure Gaiden will be available on Steam as well as the Nintendo Switch by the end of 2018.

bluffmanGames also happen to be working on a 2D/3D Zelda style open world game which is scheduled for release in about 3 years time… we still have a while to wait…
